Today was the first day that the I took the kiddo out of the house since he was sick a few weeks ago. And I'm quite convinced that staying in for so long helped speed his recovery process along because within a few days he was 100%.
But, today, I was feeling a little guilty that it's been so long since my poor child has seen the light of day lol. So we packed up and headed for Target...I know, adventurous, right? These days, just getting him in the car calmly IS an adventure. Not always a fun one for mom, but sometimes a necessary evil.
I'm not quite sure why I chose today of all days to brave the Minnesota winter. No, it wasn't ridiculously cold out today like it can be this time of year. But it was Day 1 of Jake working at the Boat Show until 10pm tonight. And now I (don't really know, but) have had a taste of single parenthood, and I cannot believe how much I appreciate and NEED those few minutes when Jake gets home from work to pass Logan off and regain my sanity!
So now, knowing that this is only Day 1 of 3, and the babe is asleep for a few hours, I am off to pump and get re-aquainted with my favorite bottle of wine :)
